IEC Career Conference 2019 that was themed Empowering Youth through Education was held on Saturday 2nd February 2019 at Aga Khan Sports Complex from 8 am to 2 pm.
IEC Career Conference 2019 that was themed Empowering Youth through Education was held on Saturday 2nd February 2019 at Aga Khan Sports Complex from 8 am to 2 pm. IEC Careers Conference brought together career experts from various fields namely a Lawyer, Teacher/Consultant, Accountant/Auditor, Doctor, Engineer, ICT, Media Personality, Hospitality Personality, Young Entrepreneur who presented a huge range of career pathways and growth. Each speaker spoke for 20 minutes followed with a 5 minutes Q&A. Among chief guest of speakers who attended are Honorable Mohamed Faki, Mombasa Senator & Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, Mvita MP. We also invited an organization that helped students with financial difficulties by offering their parents/guardians loans at 0% interest upon meeting their terms and conditions.
It was a great opportunity for prospective students, parents/guardians to decide on course to pursue by having a face-to-face with employers based on their career interest.

Guaranteeing the students safety is the top priority for schools’ administration that will enable them deliver services to their students and the community. Having students and staff trained in first aid not only boosts the safety of the entire school, but it also can be the difference between life and death in the event of a medical emergency. In partnership with Red Cross, we conduct the training and upon completion of the training, each participant with be presented a Certificate from Red Cross.

The aim of this session is to help the students be aware of the relevant, useful, in demand and universally applicable skills required for everyone in this complex, competitive, knowledge – based, information age and technology driven economy and society as well as how they can adapt to these changes and the current trends in careers in this 21st century.

This session will focus on teaching students how they can build their Emotional Fuel, which is made up of a stable mental health, healthy relationships (mentors, role models, mentors, accountability partners, family and friends they choose), self-care (self-love) and problem-solving skills which help them to manage stress and overcome anxiety, depression and risk behaviors including those that relate to sexual behavior, substance abuse, and violent behavior which inhibits their performances in school and generally in life especially after a traumatizing year due to Covid19 global pandemic that has led to loss of loved ones, family members and even close friends.
The objective is to promote sports, recreational, healthy lifestyles, promoting unity, higher productivity and to encourage them to pursue higher studies which is vital to transform their lives and community at large.

We have so far conducted 2 Interschool Sports Competition and supported the Football competition at Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, Kenya.
